
Niall McDonagh,Healthcare Sector Director Western Europe, Microsoft
Niall McDonagh is the Director responsible for the Healthcare Sector in Western Europe at Microsoft. He is responsible for Microsoft’s relationships with Health Providers and Payors across the region. Niall has worked at Microsoft for the last eighteen years and has been focused primarily on Public Sector organisations for the last fifteen years. He previously worked at Accenture where he was part of the Business Strategy team for UK/Ireland. His particular interest is in effective models of public/private partnership to improve Public services through digital enablement.

Kieran McCorry, National Technology Officer, Microsoft Ireland
Kieran McCorry has over 30 years’ experience in the technology industry and is currently the National Technology Officer for Microsoft Ireland, where his role is to help Public Sector customers address their challenges, fully realise their opportunities, and pursue their national priorities. He is responsible for positioning Microsoft as the partner technology company of choice and engendering trust, technology vision, strategic alignment, business model, business practices, and policy approaches to Microsoft customers.
He is a frequent speaker at worldwide conferences and has been a regular contributor to various industry publications. All in all, he has presented at over 100 international conferences and has authored more than 50 papers for journals and magazines. He is author of four books on messaging technology and has multiple granted US patents and others pending.

Neil O’Hare, Professor of Health Informatics, UCD and Group Chief Information Officer, Children’s Health Ireland
A Physicist by background, and previously was Chief Physicist in St. James’s Hospital, Neil has had a strong emphasis on health informatics throughout his career including heading up many large implementation projects around clinical information systems, acting as advisor to the Department of Health and project management of a range of medical equipping projects. In 2007 took up the role as Programme Lead on the National Integrated Medical Imaging System (NIMIS) Project for the Health Services Executive, Ireland. In 2020 he was appointed to the Irish Government’s Open Data Governance Board. He was previously the CIO for the Ireland East Hospital Group (2018-2020), and Dir of Informatics at St. James’s Hospital (2012 – 2018).
Previously Neil has previously held academic appointments in Dublin City University and Trinity College Dublin with research interests in health informatics, imaging and UV phototherapy dosimetry. He is the current Chair of the Health Informatics Society of Ireland (HISI) and in 2019 was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Faculty of Radiology, RCSI.
